Malaysia’s R&B scene is set to take centre stage as Soul City – An R&B Night lights up Unifi Arena, Bukit Jalil on 10 July 2026, bringing together some of the country’s most iconic voices for one unforgettable evening. For fans who grew up on smooth and soulful harmonies, and the unmistakable sound of homegrown R&B, this is the concert you’ve been waiting for.
The night brings together some of the most beloved names in Malaysian R&B history, artists who didn’t just make music, but helped define an era.
One of the bands headlining the night is Innuendo, among the pioneers who put local R&B on the map. The group’s return to the stage is a reunion with a generation that grew up on their sound. However, it is unclear if the entire original line-up consisting of Pot Amir, Reimee, Taj and Sam will be part of this concert.
Meanwhile, Ruffedge is also part of the line-up, as well as the Fabulous Cats featuring the soulful Datin Alyah, bringing a fresh dynamic to the night. Datin Alyah’s soulful vocals and stage presence has made her one of the most recognisable voices in the industry, and pairing her with The Fabulous Cats promises a set full of charm and groovy energy.
Joining the stage is none other than Lah Ahmad, whose smooth, emotive vocals helped shape the sound of Malaysian R&B during its golden years. His presence on the Soul City lineup lends a nostalgic vibe for longtime fans.
With decades of combined musical legacy and chart-topping hits, this lineup promises a nostalgic yet electrifying celebration of homegrown R&B at its finest.
In short, Soul City is a celebration of Malaysian musical heritage. It brings back the sounds that shaped late-night radio, mixtapes, and karaoke sessions for an entire generation.
Whether you’re a longtime fan of Malaysian R&B or simple curious about the music legends, Soul City is not an event to be missed.
